Thanks! Believe it or not, this was the first attempt and it took under an hour (a rarity with the skulls I've been making lately!). I think the key is keeping the drill speed low to have more control/less breakage. Definitely much better than working with light bulbs!
Utterly beautiful and amazing!
ReplyDeletedude, I'm totally digging your skulls. Brilliant idea...wish I'd thought of it.
ReplyDeleteThat's beatiful. You're really talented and patient.
ReplyDeletePs. How long and how many shells did it take you?

ReplyDeleteI love sea-skulls! LOL
ReplyDeleteThats brilliant!
ReplyDeleteDo you here the sounds of Davy Jones' locker when you hold it up to your ear?
ReplyDeleteI love this one. If it was large enough for a mask it would be REALLY creepy.
ReplyDeleteIt's really sweet! I bet a conch shell would look really awesome too.
ReplyDeleteCool. Now when I wanna make a skull shell, I'll know how to do it right. Too bad I can't think of anything but skulls... all else seems boring.
