ReplyDeleteIt feels life the old Rosie show with all the prizes we are given just for showing up.
Weird my secret word was noahfl. Perhaps a vision of a future skull. I am thinking oranges.
Thank you both soooo much. I have already used it and it is smashing! Just in time for Hallowe'en too.
ReplyDeleteSo cool, thank you so much Noah and Mark!!
ReplyDeleteI gotta say that I especially love the word "skullphabet." Hee hee!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks for making this available! I am gonna re-font my Resume right now!
ReplyDeleteThat is the greatest font ever ever.
ReplyDeleteUnder what license are you making this font available?
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous! Thanks for all the work that went into it. Skullphabet is officially my new favorite word.
ReplyDeleteSince this is my first post I'll also say that black coffee and Skull-a-Day make my workday mornings!
i love you. i love this.
ReplyDeleteW00t!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Aww, thanks everyone, glad to spread the skull love!
ReplyDeleteFYI the font is Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licensed. Keep in mind that the font is based on Futura, so there is no guarantee that using it for commercial projects is absolutely legal. Also please do not try to sell it! Thanks.
Excellent - I will print out a huge Halloween sign in this font for the front of my house in a few weeks! Cheers.
ReplyDeleteObviously I'm retarded... when I go to either version I just see the code for the font. I cut and paste into????? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOption-Click if you're on a Mac or Right-Click if you're on a PC and select Download and that should do it.
ReplyDeleteThis will go perfectly for the next "Dear John" letter I have to write!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the input 'anotherlimitedrebellion.' Still didn't work so I jumped out of Safari and onto Firefox and it worked like a charm. Thanks again.... and thanks for that font.
ReplyDeleteoption click does not work on my mac with safari but does with firefox
ReplyDeleteSkullmaster:
ReplyDeleteBeen playing with the font most of the day. Why are the umlauts not little skulls. Was it just overkill? (Pun intended)
How do I get this into open office writer?
ReplyDeleteIndeed that's the reason C, apparently it is possible to have too many skulls sometimes!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great font... I will share with my class. Congrats on the boing boing link. Hope you are having a Halloween party this year... being the skulls and everything.
ReplyDeleteOk all you safari-ites.
ReplyDeleteTry holding the ctrl key and right click
download linked file should work.
Sweet! ALR, you just told me about this site, I see you on BB, AND now I get free stuff...How amazing.
ReplyDeleteBoth OpenType and TrueType fonts should work on either platform.
ReplyDeletePERFECT for October!
ReplyDeleteI'm sort of confused - I can download it and it opens in a viewable file, but how do I actually put it into Word or something?
ReplyDeleteok, this question has not been answered yet. to use in word you have to install into windows first. find instructions here
ReplyDeletehttp://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word/HA010947421033.aspx?pid=CL100636481033
sorry, i don't know html so i can't make the link that way. once you install it into windows then it will be available in all the programs.
Sweet!!!
Ok, my attempt at a link didn't work. Just go to the control panel and click fonts. copy and paste the file into the fonts folder and it should be available when you use just about any program. In fact i am using it now with firefox but when the comment is posted it reverts back to the default text for the website. :-(
ReplyDeleteSkullphabet is... Beautimous!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to drop this into presentations to my students. They'll laugh, they'll cry, they'll complain to mommy the teacher's weird. Again. ;-)
Hi! Love the font! Love it that it's CC.
ReplyDelete-anin
Love it! Thanks!

ReplyDeletethanks alot!
ReplyDeleteI can't say I've EVER been so excited about a font. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteDOPE.
ReplyDeleteOMG! thanx for the font! it's great!
ReplyDeleteHooray! And in time for Halloween, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I can never have enough fonts!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Works great even in my restricted corporate environment!
ReplyDeleteNote: font looks a bit indistinct on a smaller LCD monitor but looks awesome when printed!
FYI for your font developer: the font contains 3 tables (LTSH, hdmx and VDMX) that are all calculated incorrectly. They just need to be re-cached, which your font software should be able to take care of. Also, this font probably does not need these tables, and as they are not required for TT or OT, you could jsut eliminate them.
ReplyDeleteYou probably won't see a problem from this issue, but some PC Word uses could get odd spacing issues in rare cases.
Jason C
Hey Jason, Thanks for the heads-up. So far no one has mentioned any problems, but I asked Mark (who did the programming) to fix the things you mentioned. He was able to get rid of the last 2 tables, but he was a loss on the LTSH. I've gone ahead and replaced the online files with the new ones he made, but if you feel like fixing the last one feel free to do so and send it along!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Mark says he's happy to make the last change if someone'll talk him through it. FYI he's using FontLab for Mac.
ReplyDeleteYou dudes are alright. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the font! Already sent my first "happy halloween" emailwith it!
ReplyDeletesweet - thanks for the font!
ReplyDeleteAw,thanks!
ReplyDeleteSoooooooooooo cool and it's right up my alley! Thank you!

ReplyDeleteThis is queer, i downloaded it using win rar bacause that is what it goes to and it doesnt work! What program are you supposed to open it with?
ReplyDeleteUse the "zipped" files if you are having trouble downloading.
ReplyDeleteJust seen you on Martha this morning. The stale PB&J was excellent! I laughed for ten minutes! Thanks for the font.
ReplyDeleteI loved you on the show! What are the terms of using the font in commercial products?
ReplyDeletePlease contact me to discuss commercial uses.

ReplyDeleteIhave been taking my father's study skull with me everywhere during the years (whenever I movedm that is- not in my purse...it's a REAL skull I named "Egon")LOVE it- I'll find a way to figure out how to download the font useably somehow..I would like to link your page to mine -can you tell me how that would work?
www.nmhfi.thevillage.com
This is so cool! It took a few tries to download but I figured it out! You have to open your program files to download it in your font file - maybe you should explain how to do it because if you just do a staight download you can't use it. I love skulls and skeletons - this is so awesome! THANKS!
ReplyDeleteThanks! This font is really cute...
ReplyDeleteIt is really cool, guys!
ReplyDeleteI wish it would have cyrillic letters, but it can be real only in my dreams…
Thank you! This font is absolutely wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very cool font and I can hardly wait to use it.
