Nice! You should do your own circuit with all the crasy stuff on it. Could turn out nice. You might have done it, I follow your blog, but my memory is failing as I type. Rock on!
Hey, I posted a few days ago in response to the caricature skull, and I apparently offended a few people, so I'd like to apologize (assuming they regularly read the comments), and hope I didn't offend our host... I know I kind of come off as an overly- intellectual elitist hoe-bag, but my intention was to more, you know, DISCUSS than knock the site, which I will make clear again is AWESOME. My poor old 1994 tiny- screened Mac died just a couple of months ago! makes me wish I hadn't just given it away...
Hey bug, if it's any consolation, I understand some of those feelings. Having liked skull stuff since I was very young, when it gets so trendy that you can go on fleaBay and buy a sheet of "Swarovski crystals" bling in a skull shape for your mobile, it's a bit much. I occasionally get the same feelings over tattoos, especially when the national news does a story about the growing demand for removing tramp stamps. It's not that the trend is over; it's now part of our culture. It's just that now some of those who bought into the trend and just had to have that lower back tattoo to fit in, now are soccer moms with SUVs (still being trendy, just on a different level).
Rest assured, a few years from now, all those mobile phones that were painted pink using nail polish and covered in rhinestones to form the shape of skulls will be passé and long since part of the landfill or (hopefully) recycled into parts to make whatever the next trend is. Those of us who love skulls will still love them, except we won't be considered trendy.
I need to show this one to my partner! He worked fixing Macs for years.
ReplyDeleteWould getting a new Macbook Air make you feel better?

ReplyDeleteKeltie: Ha, it might ease the pain a little!

ReplyDeleteHere's your problem someone stuck a skull in your ram slot!
Check out Oberon that ram came equipped with its own skull.
I would've guessed it was the motherboard for Hal (from 2001: A Space Odyssey).

ReplyDeleteIs that a PCI card in your RAM slot? :-/
ReplyDeleteI think the chips at the back of the skull -- it makes it look very borg.
