Carved Swiss Cheese (4in x 4.5in x 5in [10cm x 11.5cm x 13cm]). I was incredibly lucky with this one since I had only one block of cheese and no idea where the holes would be inside when I started carving. Incredibly they turned up in one of the eyes and behind the nose! Here's another view:
Oh wow, will you make one for my next party? I love it.
ReplyDeleteEmmentaler is always full of surprises, but it's a nice cheese indeed. I get hungry with all the food-skulls, Gruyère will have to do it.
ReplyDeleteThanks to this cheese now strikes me as a beautiful carving material. So many different kinds with veins of colour in them, like marble. Too bad it's ... cheese.
ReplyDeleteI love this one. I'll have to point it out to my friend Colin, the cheese enthusiast!

ReplyDeleteThe Holes reminded me of this
cheezy goodness!
ReplyDeleteIf I had the talent to do something like that, I'd be tempted to drizzle raspberry sauce from the "wounds." Alas, no cheese-carving skill here.
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking that the skull might have belonged to someone who died while trying to catch golf balls at a driving range.
ReplyDeleteOooh, the holes are like trepanations!
