Henna on Skin. Thanks to my assistant Kristin for volunteering for this one! I designed the skull in advance and then basically free-fhanded the rest of it. I've never done a henna design before so this was definitely a challenge (kudos to the folks who do this professionally)! Once it's set I'll take another photo with the paste wiped off.
UPDATE: Here's Kristin showing off the 1 day old henna...
gorgeous!
ReplyDeletedid use a prepared cone or mix the henna yourself, and did you use a tip? the lines are so even and finely detailed for a first try!
I got a mix it yourself kit at the craft store that came with a bottle and metal tip.
ReplyDeleteThat's so beautiful...I've been lurking your blog for a long time now, and although I've liked many of your skulls, this is the first one that made me gasp. I just love it! I printed out the picture to stick in my gluebook so I can look at it some more, hope that's ok.
ReplyDeletesimply beautiful. Great inspiration for a wedding... ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's an excellent Henna design! I'd like to try that!
ReplyDeletewait - is your assistant 'Kristin' actually Kristen DUNST????
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Both your assistant and your execution of the design.
ReplyDeleteWoW! What an amazing job! I have personally done some henna and it's hard to do something that intricate. I only wish I had someone to work on my hands, but alas, I do my own. I'm curious to know what the kit was that you bought. I'm do for a new one and would like to know how the applicator bottle and tip worked for you. Did it clog much? Looks like it was a small tip, was there more than one with it? Please let me know. Thanks.
