Just had to share a few skull-related travel photos that were recently sent in...
Nathalie Boisard-Beudin from Rome, Italy spotted these lovely angels at the local Church of Sant'Agostino...
and my friend Annie says, "My best friend is a doctoral student at Ohio State and she spent her summer in Poland studying at the Department of Anthropology (Nicholas Copernicus University). Attached is a picture of the office entryway where she worked..."
TeratoMarty had a killer "Office Skull" , but Annie, you friend has the best office ever!

ReplyDeleteohh.. that's creepy! :S
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool!!! Who carved those angels?
ReplyDeleteWow this is really cool?
ReplyDeleteWow! I like the last one the best. You probably know of the big cathedral made out of skulls, right? Anywho, the last photo reminded me of my time as a digger on an archaeology site. Nice one!
ReplyDeleteHey! I especially like the last photo because it reminded me of my time employed (at awful pay) on an archaeology dig. And maybe I'll go look for work on one now seeing as there's no jobs! Yay recession! Anyway, keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteThe angel skull might be the work of Bernini (I could not find anything about them but Bernini did some heavy decorating in the church and they are a very fine work)
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool! I wish I had an office full of skulls! eeek! I love them! Great pictures.
