[BONUS] 382. Pumpkin Anatomy Skull
After some careful dissection I discovered what the inside of a Jack-O'-Lantern really looks like!...

ReplyDeleteHey Noah - love this! Thanks a lot for posting! I'm trying to make a copy for this Halloween... Hope you don't mind me asking: Did you use a whole pumpkin for the skull part? And if so, did you then have to cut the orange pumpkin in half and then put it back together so you could fit the whole skull in? Or... did you cut the skull piece into a kind of mask or faceplate? I guess if it was this way you'd then just cut a big wedge in the front of the orange pumpkin so you could slot the flat piece in? Would be great to know! Thanks so much again!
ReplyDeleteHey Bagman, to answer your question, I cut the larger (orange) pumpkin entirely in half and then carved it and used picture framing wire to hinge it through holes at the back. I then put the smaller (white) pumpkin inside whole. The trickiest part is judging how big the interior space will be, but the bonus is that if it's slightly too small you can carve out some of the inside to fit the interior pumpkin better. Hope that helps! If you make your own version definitely send in a picture for me to see!
