Skullosseum

Italian artist Funboy is back again with a new piece called "Skullosseum". He says, "It's my new logo, sketched by graphite on paper, and I hope it speaks more than everything about my Post Atomic Art."

The pairing of a large skull with Roman coliseum works well due to the history of coliseum use. Coliseums had many uses, but most famously (and relevant to this piece) they were use for gladiatorial battles to the death. Thousands of "criminals" were chosen to fight against each other. Those that won had a fate to keep on battling, This meant killing until they were killed. Having a large skull as the base for this coliseum is very fitting. It would be interesting to see what the underground coliseum channels looked like. Perhaps they are skull-like.
