Mexican Skull Sculpture

Sophie Brunet from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, made a "sculpture of Mexican skull ".

The shape and colors bring a cheerfulness to this skull. It reminds me of the cakes, sugar skulls, and masks of Dia de los Muertos. This festive skull is true to the joyous celebration of ancestors on this Mexican holiday. Dia de los Muertos is also celebrated in other countries, but it's root origins are in Mexico.
