Lady, Legs, and Skulls

Pascal Peris from Bordeaux, France created these paintings.

"Lady and the Skull"

"Legs and Skull"

What draws me to Pascal's work is the pop art influence and the strong lines. "Lady and the Skull" reminds me of Andy Warhol's screen prints of Marilyn Monroe, and of skulls, however Pascal's work isn't screen printed. The nine images are all hand painted, which leads them to have variations despite their similar composition. "Legs and Skull" has a similar line design in the skull and hands, as the above painted does with the lady. The legs remind me of these long striped socks I have that keep me warm in the death throes of Winter.
