We're happy to offer our readers the opportunity to win a skull from Cardboard Safari. "Cardboard Safari designs, manufactures and distributes home decor products worldwide using sustainable materials and state of the art manufacturing technologies. The tall tales and misadventures of my (owner Chris Jessee) woodsman cousin inspired the design of the first Cardboard Safari product, Bucky the deer trophy. Other trophy heads quickly followed as friends and customers made requests for their favorite animals. Our fun products inspire the soul and imagination of our customers at an affordable price." The folks at Cardboard Safari, are excited to participate in this Skull-A-Day giveaway by offering a Special Edition, "Vince", full-size human skull, to one lucky Skull-A-Day reader!
"Vince" is made of over 50 laser cut layers of recycled cardboard, a non-toxic, environmentally friendly product. Laser cutting makes for a precision fit and easy assembly using layered construction. Packaged flat for shipping; includes detailed instructions. There is one skull per package. This Special Edition includes a highly detail contour box. You read that right...there is assembly required and detailed instructions, because "Vince", is a fantastic 3D puzzle. This 3D skull puzzle is a great skull for teenagers to adults. Since cardboard is flammable, please keep the skull away from open flames and hot lights. Also, cardboard edges are sharp, since they are paper, so handle with care. "Vince" Measures: 6W x 6H x 8D inches
Puzzles are a great way to keep you busy on a leisurely day, and this unique one is sure to entertain you for hours. I normally put puzzles together at a house, but "Vince" deserves an adventure! To enter the contest, leave a comment below answering, where is the craziest place you would put your "Vince" skull together? I might put him together deep in the Paris, France catacombs. I think he would feel at home there.
[NOTE: If you are reading this on Facebook or Google+, be sure to leave your comment on this Skull-A-Day.com blog post if you want to be actually entered in this contest.]
Don't forget to include a way to contact you (either an e-mail in the post OR make sure your Blogger profile has a working e-mail link for you on it). Entries are only valid with this information.
You have until just Midnight Eastern Time Thursday, August 16th to enter so don't delay!
NOTE: Cardboard Safari will pay for USA shipping to the winner. Sorry international folks!

I would put Vince together on the international space station. Perhaps in front of one of those time lapse cameras so that you could see a cool time lapse of him being assembled and the background would be the glorious atmospheric changes of our planet.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I have about 35-40 skull things at home that are actual human and animal skulls...I'd put Vince with all his "friends" at the tattoo shop where I work He would be a very awesome conversation piece there. At the shop we could assemble him as a group teamwork project and also to have some fun together!!

ReplyDeleteno..i am not weird...she's there so she can be part of everything..nothing goes in or out without being seen from there..she spent 7 years alone in a nursing home in Texas with brain damage...i swore she'd never be alone again!
I would have him put together in my daughter's car! A perfect place for burial!
ReplyDeleteI've yet to meet a puzzle that could stump me. I would like to see Vince try!
ReplyDeleteReally Cool and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI think a room in the Winchester Mystery House would be a great place to put Vince together. (Provided that there was enough light in the chosen space) :)
ReplyDeletensrhoads@yahoo.com
I think I would put "Vince" together one piece at a time as a reward for each new skull paiting or drawing I completed. Finish a painting... add a piece, doodle a skull... add a piece... until finished.
ReplyDeleteI would assemble Vince with my husband (also named Vince) in the back of my 1977 Cadillac Hearse. My son, Steven, would also help with the process. We'd love to give Vince his new home! *Alianalways@aol.com*
ReplyDeleteI would assemble the skull deep within the womb of the nanny from The Muppet Babies under the guidance of her watchful eyes that gaze from beyond the frame of my conscious.
ReplyDeletertwhisler@msn.com
DeleteI would put him together at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio. Generations of my family are there back to when we first came to the State. Brings a whole new meaning to “Family Game night”.
ReplyDeletezyg0na@yahoo.com
i, not unlike you, would want to put vince together in a place where he would be comfortable, only my choice would the sedlec ossuary which is outside of prague in Kutna Hora...that place has a special resonance to me because I'm Czech and there's a decent chance I have relatives who make up the decor (at least i certainly hope it's the case).
ReplyDeletebridget.mcgraw@gmail.com
Either that or I'd take him to a show at Hollywood Forever. Next weekend they are showing Sleepaway Camp!
ReplyDeleteBridget.mcgraw@gmail.com
I would put Vince together hiding under a ShamWow!
ReplyDeleteIt is more about who than where. Definitely put together with my kids. I would live it for my collection and even more special to have them help.
ReplyDeleteIt's quite obvious - Vince needs to be placed near a box of bandages. Surely there will be cardboard paper cuts!
ReplyDeleteVince would sit on my mantle... Watching me watching him.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Would look great on my desk.
ReplyDeleteI might build him in a box.
ReplyDeleteI might build him with a fox.
I might build him here or there.
I might build him anywhere.
But, I guess that I am likely able
to build him at the kitchen table...

ReplyDeleteI would assemble Vince in the childrens room of my local public library, while my grandchildren played.
ReplyDeletejonquilsgrdn@gmail.com
I've been afraid to post, because I truly do not feel worthy of Vince.
ReplyDeletegwaley@gmail.com
I'm not worthy.
Love this!! I'd take him for a drink atop the Hancock building in Chicago where fellow patrons could help me assemble him.
ReplyDeletePerhaps I could take Vince to the Sac Horror Film Festival and let all the ghouls help me put his cranium back together.
ReplyDeleteshibagirl82@yahoo.com
it wouldn't be the first skull or cardboard safari item i have. Vince would be at home in my studio with his friends and other inspirations to me.
ReplyDeleteI would put him together as a competitive family sport. To make it interesting all family members participating will only be able to use their left hand and/or tongue during assembly.
ReplyDeletefirewerksdesign@gmail.com
join me vince
ReplyDeleteAt the Sedlec ossuary in Kutna Hora http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sedlec_Ossuary
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to visit ever since I saw the excellent short on Sedlec by Jan Svanmajer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-c4kmWJ0dd8
*Svankmajer* Apologies for the misspelling.
ReplyDeleteI see someone has already chosen Sedlec (I didn't want to read all the comments until I posted in case it influenced my answer but unfortunately this did not prevent a duplication d'oh!)so I'd like to change my answer to the Wellness Skull http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/wellness-skull. I suspect it may have an adverse effect on the cardboard material however the question did ask for "the craziest" place to assemble the puzzle...
ReplyDeleteI'll take him to Skull Cave on Mackinac Island. There's a container there where visitors add a note about their visit to the spot; I can write that I built a skull there. bintie@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI would put Vince together in a haunted Civil War cemetery.
ReplyDeleteI would put him in the kitchen cupboard to scare my wife in the morning
ReplyDeleteI would construct Vince at my desk in my dark and crowded library room, lit by one light, to join my collection of other skulls.
ReplyDeleteI would test the validity of the "A" my daughter just got in her Human Anatomy class, by having her display her talents on Vince.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I did not miss an opportunity in this give away.
Oh, in the middle of the bed with the throw pillows, maybe in the guest room when company was coming.
ReplyDeleteI would assemble Vince using only my teeth, blindfolded and riding a stag across an open plain. We would speed into oblivion, breathing with the quickened pace of creatures set with purpose and design. I'd probably be high on some kind of magical powder given to me by a crude shaman a few days prior. There would be visions of fire and more skulls to guide me with their faint, unintelligible pigeon voices cackling a thrall of ancient and forgotten native Gods.
ReplyDeleteOr I'd just use an X-acto, a file, patience, soda, all scored by some Aphex Twin in the background.
Still not sure yet.
I would put Vince together in the Church I attend & I am pretty sure I could our Pastoral Staff to help. ;)
ReplyDeleteMarie Austin
Luciemarie.clover@gmail.com

I would absolutely put him together in Mexico city during the día de la muerta festival so that he could feel at home surrounded by his skully brethren :)
ReplyDeleteI would put it in the Winchester House. The one with all the doors thawt lead to nowhere. YAou would open a door and find a skull waiting, HA, Ha.
ReplyDeleteI would do it as a performance piece at my annual pumpkin carving contest and birthday celebration. While I piece a skull together bathed in orange light, viewers will no doubt follow what I'm doing and use their power tools to create the best skeletal jack-o-lanterns this side of the North.
