Arranged Plastic Army Men (10" x 13"). Yet another one inspired by Tim's winning song!
P.S. Donating to the USO or sending a package via Any Soldier or Books for Soldiers supports our troops more than a yellow ribbon magnet does [last link contains "adult" language].
Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things about this project is that it forces viewers to think what they would make skulls out of.
Most of the song entries included descriptions of skulls you hadn't made yet. I'm waiting to see if you can pull off 'puppies laid in a pile'.
Thanks so much for the links! My brother is currently in Baghdad, and although I don't think we're helping the situation, I completely support those who are there risking their lives. All the yellow ribbons are nice, but there is so much more that could do more to encourage and support.
ReplyDeleteHopefully this will motivate those that say they support the troops with their yellow ribbons to actually do something; I know of people who are anti war that send pkgs. to the troops on a regular basis!
ReplyDeleteon another note.....I was thinking how awesome this piece of art is....plastic soldiers molded into death......poignant...

Ooh! How about using Lord of the Rings minis? *nerd*
ReplyDeleteThanks for supporting the soldiers, those of us stateside and especially those overseas. Keep up the work, I'm a big fan of your page.
ReplyDelete-Green Army Man
you can take these and arrange on a cookie sheet lined with tin foil and bake in the oven on 450 for about 10 minutes or so and the bases will start to melt together -- a good way to make this "permanent" :)
ReplyDeleteThat's got to be one of my favorites!
