Digital Illustration. Inspired by classic automotive art of pinstriping. I don't have a very steady hand and I've never tried this technique before, so I'll leave a real version of this to the experts...
Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrty. I agree - it would look great on a bike (I personally prefer a Shadow, but whatever floats yer boat). Or embroidered on the back of an oxford shirt.
Holy crap. I just watched the entire vid - completely mesmerized. I don't know why I didn't know, but I had NO IDEA it was all done free hand. Suddenly, $40k for a custom tank doesn't seem so exorbitant.
Thanks all! I'd love to see it on a car/motorcycle or sewn on a shirt as well! And yes Arbyn, your submission was one of the things that I used for reference for this one.
It's lovely! I'd def. buy a print of this.
ReplyDeleteBest computer desktop ever.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so cool! Kind of feels like it should be on the back of a cowgirl style shirt.
ReplyDeleteAnd I like your humility, Noah, but damn -- you are seriously talented.
That would look killer on my truck!
ReplyDeleteThat needs to be on a Harley gastank.
ReplyDeleteHow about adding some pinstripe wings on the sides?
Reminds me of the Presets 'Blowup' EP

ReplyDeleteReminds me of the Darth Vader Pinstripe skull I submitted to a previous braincase. It was Braincase XVI

As I watched the film first without sound (beeing in a library obliges), it was very zen.
ReplyDeletegod...that video is almost hypnotic...
ReplyDeleteYup. The video grabbed me as well. Thought I'd just watch a bit to see how it was done...
ReplyDelete...saw it all the way to the end.
You need to get this design done 'for real' by someone.
