Sculptor, inventor, imagination architect, digital adventurer, and troublemaker. Joshua Harker is one of the most recognized artists working in the 3D printing medium. He became known for "making the unmakeable" with his Tangles series which hold rank as the very first organic forms of such complexity to ever be created. He most recently became an internet sensation using crowd-funding to disseminate his art and currently holds the #1 & #4 most funded Sculpture projects ever on Kickstarter (Crania Anatomica Filigre & Anatomica di Revolutis). Joshua's work has appeared in TIME Magazine, WIRED, Huffington Post, Wall Street Journal, The Economist, MSNBC, TED Talks, National Geographic, Cool Hunting, Venture Beat, Boing Boing, as well as countless others.
Depicting the bittersweet experience of love & loss as well as suggesting that love is what you make of it. The anchor & chain are intended to symbolize the security of steadfast loyalty in stormy seas and that which keeps you from becoming aimlessly adrift. The arrow is love's tool of capture and the weeping tear symbolizes the pain of loss. The suspended ring demonstrates the promise of commitment. The skull is the symbol of the end of us all and the reminder of living in the present. Dimensions: 4.5" x 2.0" x 7.2" (11.5 x 5.1 x 18.3 cm) Material: 3D printed polyamide (essentially a nylon/glass powder fused together with a laser)
IF YOU DON'T WIN: This piece is available in alternative colors as well as other work created by Joshua in his store HERE.

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 213 of 213I would take this skull on a date to the Mutter Museum in Philadelphia, and then to dinner at a nearby restaurant "La Calaca Feliz." And then back home forever and ever! GT (gtlenard@verizon.net)
I would hang this scull up on my rearview mirror in the car and go for a nice long drive to a destination unknown...see where it takes us.

I would take my heart skull on a bicycle ride through Monterey, then I would take it for a long walk on the beach;) tlbevington@gmail.com
This skull looks like it belongs in a Mexican whorehouse on the Day of the Dead. I would wear it as a necklace around my neck and the first prostitute I see, I would give it to her and tell her to look at it while doing her business, as this is the prettiest thing she will ever see - in a Mexican Whorehouse on the Day of the Dead.
I would take this beauty for a walk over the Bristol Suspension Bridge where I would place her around my neck and dangle over the edge for some cheap thrills. hayley_m72@yahoo.co.uk
Our date would have to be delayed until March 18th when Peter and the Star Catcher opens at the New World Stage theater, off Broadway! A show filled with art, imagination... and pirates! Christine@wolfbane.org
We would take a trip to West Virginia and visit the historical sites of the Moth Man prophecies!

I would take this skull on my date to Savannah. I am planning on taking a haunted horse carriage tour and then a ghost haunt in a warehouse with paranormal equipment. Lena.Rayls@gmail.com
Well my date would be at the cemetery. I lost my husband & I thought this would be a great way to remember him. We played a song at our wedding called "Til Death Do Us Part" by White Lion & then played it at his funeral. Thank you for reading my post & hope you consider me. phippsa@comcast.net
I would take it to see Warm Bodies, of course! I would love to add this to my skull collection!!!! Eeeekkk!!!

I would take this skull on a date to the telecommunications black hole that is my neighborhood. Here we would get lost in time and flirt with all the radioactive waste that lay under the grassy hills currently disguised as a park. Afterwards we would go to another place that exists only through man-made needs where we would watch sheep tend to the cities weeds along the shoreline. It will be heaven.
