260. Thread(ed) Skull

Arranged Thread (13in [33cm] x 18in [46cm]). I had a lot of thread left over from my cross-stitching, so I thought I'd try something more free form. Here's a detail shot...

T-Skulls Update

I've been getting a lot of e-mails about shirts so let me just remind folks that it generally takes 2 to 4 weeks for delivery. All of the initial orders shipped on Wednesday the 13th or Friday the 15th of February, so if you ordered before last week you should receive them this week most likely. Most shirts are sent First Class so there are no tracking numbers. Please be patient, I don't have a T-shirt fulfillment company, it's just my assistant packing and sending these by hand (feel free to thank Kristin for all her hard work!). If you don't get your shirt after 4 weeks definitely get in touch and we'll sort things out. Thanks!

In her words, "The favors were skull-shaped lollipops with red ribbons that said "Until we are bones," and during the rehearsal my mother gave us skull bracelets. We decided to wear them for the ceremony. We're 3.5 months in now, and things are still blissful...skulls will keep us together."

You are welcome to submit your own found/made skulls at the address in the upper right-hand corner of the site. But please read the following FIRST:

1. Be sure to include your name as you would like it to appear on the site.
2. Let me know if there is a website you would like YOUR name linked to.
3. I would prefer if you made or took the images yourself.
4. If you find the image online you MUST do the following or it will not be included:

Do NOT send just a direct link to an image file (jpeg, gif, png, etc.).
Attach the actual image in the e-mail.
Give the name of the original artist (and a link to that artists' work if available).
Provide a link to a web page where the art came from (if it wasn't directly from the artist's site)

5. If you are sending an image of your own tattoos be sure to include the artist's name, location, and website (if available) so I can give them proper credit.
6. If you send multiple items I may only pick one or two to include, so be selective if you can.
7. I won't repost items I've received before so be sure to check previous Braincase posts.

Cross-stitched Thread on Aida (art 4in x 4in). This is the first time I've done cross-stitching and it took 8 hours to do this much!

255. Skull At Play

Temporarily Modified Street Sign. I've been passing by this sign for ages thinking it had skull potential. The new elements were made of paper and attached with double stick tape. The park it references has been closed for over a year (I don't think it ever had a seesaw), so the sign is actually more accurate like this. But no, it was not left this way after I took the photo.
