198. Emerging (or Sinking) Skull

Sculpted Pottery Clay, Unfired (approx. 6 in x 4.5 in x 1 in). I took this right after I finished, before I removed it from the work surface.

That's excellent. Did it come off well enough so you can fire it?

It's definitely emerging. And I can't stop staring at those teeth!

Thanks guys!
I came off well, though some of the subtle transitions to the surface were necessarily lost in the process. I may add a photo after it dries and again after it's fired.
You might be interested to know that I actually made the teeth individually and then inserted them into holes I made in the maxilla.

Man that rocks! Post up a photo after it's fired.

oh yes, the teeth, they really do make this skull really, really good. I like the idea of a wall piece. How about with a hold in the head, trepaning? to hold flowers!

I can't believe no one else made a geeky Star Wars reference to Han Solo. Awesome work as always!
