Industrial designer Jacob Stanton is creating some wonderful concept art of our favorite subject. This Bot Skull is just one of many industrious designs you'll find over at his site.
This cyborgenic cranium is captivating. Like a well styled sports car, the bold look and clean lines create a streamlined skull made for the future. Thanks for sharing you concept with us, Jacob!

Face Off Mashup: Ezra Goodwin and Sophia Margelos
As a part of our celebration for Skull Appreciation Day we're presenting you with the "Fan Submissions" part of our Face Off exhibit. We asked our readers to submit their own skulls using the template that was provided, then we faced them off against each other, and we now proudly present for your viewing pleasure, the final results.
This Face Off mashup contains two submissions from Deyana Matt, an art teacher at Westfield Middle School, in Bloomingdale, IL. Her students did these in their art class, but she also submitted a few by people who are not students at the school. We love seeing how people like Deyana get other people involved in projects like this!

Flaming Skull (NO, these will never get old!)
Streaking across our Saturday is TW Brown with this recent skull sketch of two of my favorite things, skulls and flames!
The first thing that pops to mind is one particular cut of SLAYER's many, many kick ass tracks that mentions certain death "Screaming From The Sky ". I think you'll agree that this is quite the appropriate image. Thanks for sharing it, TW!

[BONUS] Deer Approved iPhone Skull Case
Marzi Pecen is a friend to deer, a small terry cloth Monkey, and Skull-A-Day. She bought one of Noah's 60. Flower Skull iPhone cases, and let the sweet Snowflake test it out.
For reference, this is what this case looks like...not being handled by a deer.
This video proves the durability of this case.

Mosaic Sugar Skull Coaster Tile
This smiley stained glass skull coaster is from Faith Spicer-Jenkins in Kent, England. She created it from left over off cuts of her stained glass works. This skull is made from iridescent pink and green glass with dark blue and is 10cm Squared .
What a great way to recycle your scraps and turn them into something fun, festive, and functional. I'm sure every drink is that much better when it gets to rest upon this brightly colored brain case. Thanks for sharing your skull, Faith!

Sunday Simulacra - Version 7.4
Today's simulacra are happy little accidents.
First up is a past contributor Ryan Kinney of HEYMAN! Productions in Ashtabula, OH who told us: "I found this skull on the back of a ruined photo. While cleaning out a friends barn, I discovered a pile of old, wet, moldy photos. All the ink had ran on them and I found this guy on the back of a photo where the ink had transferred from another photo in the stack."
Next up is Jim in Indiana who wrote: "Obviously a lethal strain of bird droppings."
Neighborly C says:
Another week of absolutely perfect simulacra. It truly is amazing to see the our community able to surprise us week after week with new simulacra. Thank you both for sharing your finds with us.
Remember to keep sending those pictures in, we always love seeing what our skull hunters find. Anyone is welcomed to participate, it's fun and it's easy- if you see a simulacra skull, photograph it and send those pictures in to our submissions address with a little something about what it is really and maybe a little about you.
