Sunday Simulacra - Version 3.35

Tyrone from Kunkletown, PA said: “The image is from when I was installing ceramic tile and I noticed this sneaky guy watching me from the floor. The material is thin-set mortar used as tile adhesive.”

Phil Cheney wrote: “The picture was taken in our shower. I saw this collection of hair
when I got in.”

Luka Znaor from Northbridge, Perth in Western Australia told us: “HI S.A.D. Well it's finally my time to share a skull and where of all places to find one, but on an old towel of mine used as a backing for ironing my t-shirts.”

W.C. says:

Today’s simulacra reminded me of the before, during, and after steps of taking a shower. However, I don’t usually need to set tiles before I take one. I am always pleasantly surprised by the places our visitors find simulacra. Thank you all for taking the time out of your day to submit the amazing specimens you have found.

Boxy Skulls

Simulacra hunter Tyrone Hernandez from Kunkletown PA showed off an original screen print. He said: “The medium is a very dirty window screen and a very clean finger.

Sunday Simulacra - Version 5.16

Today’s simulacra were all found in the shower.

Tyrone in Kunkletown, PA told us he found this fellow hiding on the bathroom wall.


“Bearded Jon” said: “I got out of the shower the other morning and was stared down by this splashy little guy.


Ainslee wrote: “I see this skull every time I take a shower.”

Sunday Simulacra - Version 3.25

Today’s skulls are objects viewed through skull-colored glasses

President Wishnack said: “my girlfriend and i are slightly obsessed with your site and whiskey. last night, while drinking whiskey, she pointed out this skullish dish-scrubber. she also, very kindly, entitled me to credit for the find.”


A past contributor here, Joseph AKA Jozip from Sedona, Arizona sent us this: “How about playing us a little tune, eh skully? Kids ocarina whistle. No it wasn’t photographed in space, that’s not a starfield, just dust on my black photo backdrop. Also note the teethmarks from my 6 year old daughter. She just learned how to work the holes to get different notes.

We have traced the skulls and they are coming from inside your house. Thank you for submitting your finds to us. It is always a joy to see the many different skulls we use everyday. I also ran into a simulacra this week, but I can't find the memory card that it is on. Hopefully I will have it for you in two weeks.
