Skull Key Holder

This kick ass key holder is the perfect place for any skeleton keys you might have. Then again, Dan Springer of Skulluxe.com is lucky enough to hang his everyday keys from it. He writes, "here is a look at my latest skull project that I thought you might dig... it is a small 5"x5" wooden canvas that I countersunk some earth magnets into, painted up and hung by my door to make a key-holder... next version will have magnets sunk into the back so it can be mounted on my metal door."

Dan holds the key to great design as well as functon. Not only does it look frickin' sweet, you wouldn't even know that it was a key holder if they weren't hanging there. You've got a great idea with this, Dan, and I have a feeling your future key holders will only be better.

Ceramic Skull Candle Holder

When Brock Essick of Winchester, Ca sent us this he simply wrote, "I made this. I like the site and thought it would be fitting." A truer statement would be hard to find.

I think it might have been Einstein who believed that if we were to use 100% of our brain's capacity then we would cease to have physical form and would only be balls of light. This skull gives me the feeling that the light is the energy leaving the body. The stars shine brightly as the energy leaves this world into another astrological plane. Great work on this glowing piece, Brock!

Sunday Simulacra - Version 3.46

Some of you might know that I have a twin brother, Pudge, who has made contributions to Skull-A-Day in the past. Today we teamed up as skull hunters to bring you this week's round of simulacrum.

Pudge found this rock that looks like a strange alien skull. Maybe it's a fossil from a prehistoric space traveler?

As we ventured about I noticed this window fan that had a cool look to it.

Once we returned indoors I was shocked to see a skull that Pudge had hiding right in the house. This was on the base of a candle holder.

So as you can see, skull hunters, finding skulls does not have to be a solitary activity. In fact, skull hunting is enjoyed best when it's shared with friends. Maybe some of you could even organize skull hunting parties in your local neighborhoods. Just make sure that everyone knows you're not hunting real skulls. We don't need any readers locked up for a silly misunderstanding. Just let them know you're on a hunt for skulls to submit to Skull-A-Day.

Tuesdays With Tatman #4

I was inspired by the Skull Master's 211. Etched Skull so I thought I might try it myself as something new that I've never done. So in true Skull-A-Day fashion I present you with Glassman's creations.

This candle holder measures 4 1/2 inches wide and deep by 4 1/4 inches high. I tried to make all four sides appear like they are viewed from that perspective. Similar to Noah's 216. Copper Cube Skull.

This bud vase is only 3 1/2 inches tall and each skull is only 7/8 inch across.

Each Tuesday in the 3.0 year will bring a new Tuesday With Tatman. As a tribute to the Skull Master's astounding feat let's all get creative and try something new(and hopefully skull related).
