Sunday Simulacara - Version 7.45

As we FINALLY bid adieu to winter here in Michigan(some of you are a bit luckier) I want to send it off with it's own death and memorial and these snow skull simulacrum.  I'm sure some kids had some fun on the snow days away from school, but it's officially over and these images are gladly only memories for now...

The first is a great find from Shayna(Lynn Nelson) on her daughter's coat in Floyd, VA.  The second is the inner skull coming out of Tony Loughlin's deck furniture.  Nice work by both of you to capture these icy figures, who are now happily gone.  If you happen to snap a pic of you own simulacra then be sure to share it with us.  Try for something warm though....

Collage Skulls

Belgium's Philippe Debongnie, previously featured here, returns with some awesome new collages.

These are simply wonderful. Fish are friends, not food (unless properly prepared with some lemon butter). We all need to be more earth aware, especially when it comes to our oceans and earthly supply of water. The second piece looks like an Ikea nightmare.  YIKES!  Thanks for sharing again, Phillipe!

Sunday Simulacra - Version 5.22

With Halloween one day away, here are some skull items that will help you celebrate.

Mathieu took this photo of his Irish coffee, in a bar in Montmartre, Paris.

Mica (Noah's sister), spotted this in an NYC thrift shop window. Noah said, he is "very tempted to buy it for (his) house".

When I was baking my Pumpkin Skull Cookie, I baked more cookies using the drop method. When I was removing them from the cookie sheet, I noticed this one looked like a skull. This was the first one to be eaten.

Keep sending those pictures in to our submissions address. Just keep in mind that since we only post simulacra once a week it might take a little longer than normal for it to be posted.

“Countdown To Halloween”
1 more day and counting...

118. Skull Chair A.K.A. (Very) Skair(y)

Chair Cut with Scroll Saw. There's a hole in my front yard right now so clearly I needed to stick a skull chair in it.

UPDATE: I forgot to mention that I originally wanted to make this out of one of the chairs in my parent's house, but for some reason they wouldn't let me cut up their furniture!
