Gray, made this skull in a pottery class that he attend. He said, "Starting out I had no idea how it was going to turn out and I think its pretty cool." I was amazed to know it was made out of clay, vs metal. The finish on it looks like distressed metal. I like the contrast of the grey crown and details against the shine of the skull. This is a great piece, that shows great instruction and artistry.

Super Skullistration Saturday
John MDC is a "bone"ified bad ass skull artist. Almost everything he creates is of the skull. He's been featured on our site multiple times (here, here, here, and here) and that should stand as a testament to the multitude of skulls he has to submit.
John's site is teeming with skull art. Prints, jewelry, shirts, etc. I don't know if I've ever seen so much skull art produced by one person, aside from our own Skull Master of course. Thanks again for the great submissions, John!

"Time Shall Unfold" Skull
Trevor Goodwin, from Toronto, Canada created this painting, titled "Time Shall Unfold".
Lately, I've been interested in reading about royal history, with a focus on the dark side. In America, we don't have royalty, so this foreign concept of rulers by blood, fascinates me. This is why I was draw to this skull piece. The banner "Time Shall Unfold", reminds me of the stacks of history books that I've read. The funny thing about this fascination, is that I wasn't interested in history until I was an adult. It's when I was able to read about all the scandals and dark "secrets" that I was entranced by the stories. It's what Grimm fairy tales are made of. What dark secrets this skull has to tell...we may never know.
