[CONTEST] Win a 3D Skull Device Case
THIS CONTEST IS CLOSED! Thank you for participating!
Now a days, everyone has a phone and computer of some sort. Many people like to personalize some of their devices with cases. Hugo Arcier teamed up with Sculpteo, a 3D printing service, to create two skull cases inspired by his art series called "Degeneration", based on a faces reducing algorithm. The detailed skull highlights the printing layers while the degenerated one is a kind of tribute to the mesh triangles.Sculpteo is giving away two customized skull device cases, to two Skull-A-Day fans!
PRIZE INFO: 2 Skull Cases (one per winner).
The case can be customized to the winner's needs based on available options. The cases are available in the two skull designs, Detailed and Degenerated. ISkull
Ken Vorstenbosch, from Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, "made this in photoshop, with all the iPhone and crap going on, I thought this was kinda cool."
I'm one of those weird people who doesn't have any of these "new" techy gadgets. Well, I have GPS, but that is because otherwise I would currently be lost somewhere. I wonder what sort of apps an ISkull would have. Would it be able to locate the closest cemeteries, taxidermist and morgues? I hope it wouldn't constantly have a dead signal...because I might as well throw it in the gadget graveyard I have collecting from every time we have to upgrade gadgets. Maybe I can rest in peace with my mom's 1st cell phone...you know, the huge kind with the bag for the battery. I suspect about a year or two after it's launch, they will release a huge one and call it the ISkeleton.

QR Skull
Jack Morgan, who sent us some new technology, wrote: “I've been on your site a couple times, and I'm a big fan. I haven't seen anyone make a QR skull yet. If you use a smart phone to scan the QR code, it brings you to my blog. ”

Unfrozen Caveman C says:
I am not sure how this technology works it is strange and frightens me. I am intrigued by it and at the same time I am cautious of a future in which personal barcodes become the norm. Thank you for sharing this excellent work with us.

Air Force Skull
SrA Sean Richardson wrote: “I'm an F-15 Avionics Technician working on Kadena Air Force Base, Okinawa, Japan; serving in the United States Air Force. I was strolling through the shop the other day and noticed this old piece of equipment, and decided it needed a skull on it. I hope you like it.”
DEFCON C says:
Attention! Don't be alarmed, but I think that was a launch sequence used at one point during the days of The Cold War. I find it amazing the number of times older obsolete technology has been featured here on Skull-A-Day since the start. Adding a skull to these pieces creates a tombstone like presence marking their passing. Thanks for submitting the skull and having the US Air Force properly represented here on Skull-A-Day. You have now joined the ranks of the other skulls in uniform from the US Marines, and the US Army. Carry on soldier.
