Thanks everyone! I really wanted to make special effects models when I was a kid, so I guess I get to live out that fantasy here.

Yes the trees are indeed that moss made for model train sets.

The water is a piece of old mirror.

And if you were wondering the grass is colored sandpaper and the snow is cornstarch!
