Fused Plastic (#4 LDPE ) Beads (5.5" x 5.5"). I found these Perler Activity Beads at the craft store while buying supplies for another project. Did you play with these as a kid? I'd never encountered them before.
P.S. Sadly I could not find the more exciting and dangerous (and thus recently recalled) Aqua Dots to try out.

This is one of my favourties so far! Possibly because I did have these when I was a kid and I loved them. It's nice to see them put to better use than flowers and hearts.
Well, of course you know I love this one:) And, believe it or not, I have never used these types of bead before.
Also, when I first looked at this skull, the style reminded me of something street artist Space Invader does... Maybe you should make skull a day skull stickers, and stick them in random places all over the world! =:)
Never heard of these...but I really fancy how you managed to create this cow-like motive...I had to concentrate a little to see the skull...tricky !
oh my god i remember those! i used to use those all the time when i was a kid. make wierd shapes and put them in the oven, then fill the entire house with the smell of burning plastic!
Morning!
I made your skull in light and dark purple. (I've been playing with Perler beads myself for the past couple of weeks.)
What's interesting, is that half the people who saw it saw the Earth instead.
I really like the style, thank you.
Cool, send a picture so I can share on the site! And yes, that's a piece that people don't tend to see the image until they're further away from it.
I don't know how to send you a picture, but the post URL is http://crafts-and-doodads.blogspot.com/2009/10/found-this-nice-skull-pattern-at.html
Thanks again for the pattern - FG
