137. Subtle Skull (or Skubtle)

Clay, Unfired (approx. 2" x 2.5" x3.5"). I've been interested in playing with how little detail is needed to evoke a skull. You'll probably see others in this vein before the project is over. I'll definitely be firing and glazing this piece at some point.

This is a really great idea; I like the notion of exploring just how hard-wired brains are to see faces & skulls- very Scott McCloud. I also second the Xenomorph skull!

Make sure you dry that thing out completely before firing, or else it might explode, which would be a shame.
