You remind me of the artist Tim Matthieson, whose works I saw at the Los Angeles County Museum - so inventive and versatile. When I first saw this I thought it might be huge! Then read that it was 6x6 inches!!! I could see this at 6x6 feet taking up a wall in my house.
It does sort of have a .. sticky feel to it. Reminds me of The Skull Beneath The Skin.
