Inner Light Skull

There are lots of people seeking inner light in the world today. A light that fills our minds with peaceful thoughts. I felt like Raffaele Piacente of Milan, Italy captured it well with his personal skull oil on canvas.

Maybe this comes off as a realistic jack-o-lantern to you, but I couldn't help but see it differently. If we peel away the outer layers of our physical existence then all we have left are our thoughts, ideas, and memories. It brings me comfort to think of all of this as the inner light that warms our souls with a knowledge that makes us more than mere animals. A knowledge that makes us human. Grazie for the great work, Raffaele!

That moment when you hear a new song and suddenly "connect" with it, that is what makes my skull glow :)

Seeing the daughters of my heart (the skulltastic Girl Scout Troop 202) work hard towards a goal and accomplish it, their excitement and pride makes my skull glow.

Seeing my girls smile and say 'Hi Daddy!' when I arrive. And friends who wait for me before telling a joke!!

A brand new box of crayons that haven't been used. Warm socks out of the dryer when it's cold, the words "I love you, Mommy." Random Acts of Kindness.

(not entering, just commenting). The moment when a momentous artwork comes together, the glue sets the paint dries and you can take away the props and clamps.... mind you, wasn't so impressed when someone graffed a really, really choppy skull on the door to <a href="http://greenforcesolar.com.au>the Greenforce offices</a>. If you're gonna do it, do it right!
