A little bit of Simulacra sustenance for you this week.
First up is Christina who returns to Skull-A-Day with this find: “I had finished a cup of Greek coffee and I wanted to read my fortune and here was the skull looking back at me.”
“LF” was also reading what his food was telling him: “Here is potato salad that was about to be thrown out, I noticed the skull and took a picture.”
Last is Sharkie from NZ who said: “I was eating deep fried tofu just now, when I stumbled upon your website. After browsing through, I looked at my tofu cube and saw some possible patterns!”
Cleo C says:
This is an excellent collection of simulacra that we can add to the ever growing collection. Christina, don't worry it was just telling you that one was finished and you needed a refill. LF, potato salad, IMHO, is always evil this just proves it. Sharkie, thanks for stumbling upon us. You have already caught the simulacra bug, don't worry it is not fatal it just looks that way.
Keep sending those pictures in to our submissions address. Just keep in mind that since we only post simulacra once a week it might take a little longer than normal for it to be posted.

The tofu is a big stretch.....I can't see it. However, the potato salad has two skulls....one at the lid and the other one....
Rebound C says:
I see that other one now thanks.
I think the tofu one got washed out by the flash, but if you stare at it carefully they are there. I just had a simulacra on a folded blanket recently that was perfect, but i just couldn't capture it in a photo, the light, the camera angle nothing seemed to work, so I can relate with the fragility of trying to share something that is fleeting.
As with all our submissions I am very appreciative that people new and old participate, it is the dedicated readers that allow us to keep this feature going every week.
Thank you all who submit and thank you all who take the time to comment.
I see skulls in my food all the time too. It's weird. Come back and see the site sometime Citizen...it's been a while!
