[BONUS] Skull Stencil in Use

Diane in California used my Stylized Stencil Skull to help her make a point...

She says, "We recently had a developer in the neighborhood who wanted to increase in the number of allowable residential units on his property within 100' of the 5 Freeway, a heavily trafficked truck route near Downtown Los Angeles. Another community activist brought up the recent research into air quality next to freeways. I decided we needed a more visual representation of what we breathe everyday. Thanks Skull-A-Day for the stencil!

The case is still undergoing environmental review by City Planning and we've not submitted the original art yet. But based on facts presented earlier, the developer offered to upgrade air filtration for the existing units as well as the new units. You can be sure I'll be using this piece to fight developers for years to come.

Materials: card stock and the Los Angeles air quality 1000' from the 5 Freeway & 50' from the 2 Freeway. I left the stencil clipped to a chair on my deck for 4 months this summer."

Even if they upgrade air filtration systems, that doesn't mean it will allow you to be able to enjoy the outdoors. Keep fighting dollar sign development.
